Maura Gedid and Eric Holmes Kaye were married on Saturday at the Locust Tree, a restaurant in New Paltz, N.Y. Rebecca S. Klinger, a Universal Life minister, officiated.

The bride, 38, is an assistant vice president at the Breakstone Group, an investor relations and corporate communications consulting firm in New York; she helps market public companies. She graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, and received an M.B.A. from New York University.

She is a daughter of Carol A. Gedid and John L. Gedid of Mechanicsburg, Pa. Her father is the vice dean of the Widener University School of Law, in Harrisburg, Pa.

The bridegroom, who is also 38 and a composer of music for television and advertising, is a partner in the Lodge, a music production company with offices in New York and Los Angeles. He has written music for television shows such as “Frontline” and “Dawson’s Creek” and for various commercials. He graduated cum laude from Williams College.

He is the son of Bonnie M. Kaye of New Paltz and Robert M. Kaye of New York. The bridegroom’s mother is a clinical child psychologist in New Paltz. His father is a jazz pianist for the singer Lainie Kazan. He has also played with the Buddy Rich Band and with Anita O’Day and Liza Minnelli.
