        Jacob Schoenbrun, 82, of the Essex House, Newark, who died Sept. 17, was retired chaplain of Beth Israel Hospital. He had been hospital chaplain for 18 years, until he retired a year ago. Before that, Mr. Schoenbrun was an executive of the American Cigar Co., New York. He was a member of Congregation AABC, Irvington, and active in the affairs of the Daughters of Israel Home for the Aged. Mr. Schoenbrun came to thi.s country from Hungary as an infant and moved to Newark from Bensonhurst L. I., in 1928. He leaves three sons, Benjamin Schoenbrun and Albert Schoen of Hillside and Edward Schoen of Newark; a daughter, Mrs. Jules E Tepper, of West Orange; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Rabbi Julius Silberfeld conducted services Sept. 19 in the Gertrude Aronson Hall of Temple B’nai Abraham. Burial was in New Mount Carmel Cemetery, Cypress Hills, L. I.
