        Anita Straussberg
        Beloved mother, grandmother and friend
        Anita Straussberg, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020. She was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in the Oranges during her adult life. Anita attended Arcadia University and graduated from Upsala College.
        Anita was a board member of Theresa Grotta Rehabilitation Center in West Orange, N.J. An avid golfer, tennis and bridge player, she enjoyed her lifetime membership at Mountain Ridge County Club.
        She will be remembered as a caring, positive and cheerful woman, who made friends easily and developed lifelong friendships.
        She was preceded in death by her father, concert pianist Arthur Klein, from whom she inherited a profound love of music.
        She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 61 years, Robert Straussberg. Anita is survived by her loving children, Nancy and Samuel Silver, Carol and Steven Tobias, and Barbara Straussberg and William Salzer; six grandchildren, Aaron Silver and Meghan Ward, Emily Silver and Joshua Rubin, Meg Tobias and Dan Katz, Gillian Tobias and Mark DiCarlo, Hannah Salzer and Julian Salzer and two great-grandchildren, Aubree Tobias and Noah Katz. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Elinor Smilow.
