Robert Straussberg
Robert Straussberg, 89, of West Orange died Feb. 14, 2014. He lived his entire life in the Oranges.

Dr. Straussberg practiced dentistry for 65 years.

For many years he served as a Major in the National Guard.

He was a member of the New Jersey Dental Association and was a board member of Fuld Neighborhood House.

An avid golfer and tennis player, he enjoyed lifetime membership at Mountain Ridge Country Club, West Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita; three daughters, Nancy (Sam) Silver, Carol (Steven) Tobias, and Barbara (Bill) Salzer; a sister, Elinor; a brother, Arthur; and six grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 17 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.

Robert Straussberg, 89, passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. He lived his entire life in the Oranges.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J. 07039. The interment will follow at Oheb Sholom Cemetery, Hillside, N.J.
For many years, Robert served as a major in the National Guard.
He practiced dentistry for 65 years and was greatly admired by his patients for his skill and compassion.
Robert was a member of the New Jersey Dental Association and was a member of the board of the Fuld Neighborhood House.
An avid golfer and tennis player, he enjoyed his lifetime membership at Mountain Ridge Country Club. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and humble gentleman.
He is survived by Anita, his beloved wife of 61 years; his children, Nancy and Sam Silver, Carol and Steven Tobias, and Barbara and Bill Salzer; six grandchildren, Aaron, Emily, Meg, Gillian, Hannah, and Julian. He is also survived by his sister, Elinor; his brother, Arthur; and sister-in-law, Barrie.
