        Town of Thompson, NY
        Marilyn J. Blackman of the Town of Thompson, NY, the retired owner of M&N Apparel in Sullivan County, NY and a long time area resident, died Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 89.
        The daughter of the late Sol and Mamie Gang Gasthalter, she was born October 26, 1929 in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY.
        Survivors include her son, Steve Blackman; one brother, Robert Gasthalter and his wife, Myra; one brother-in-law, Bernard Blackman; many cousins, one niece and several nephews.
        She was predeceased by her husband, Myron Blackman on July 7, 2004; and her son, Neil Blackman on March 17, 2016.
        Graveside services and burial will be on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. in the Parksville Jewish Cemetery, Parksville, NY. Rabbi Michele Medwin will officiate.
        Memorial contributions in Marilyn's name may be made to the Tourette Association of America, 42-40 Bell Blvd., Suite 205, Bayside, NY 11361.

        Myron Blackman
        Ret. Dir. of Oper., 76

        Myron Blackman of Royal Palm Beach Fla., a former resident of Monticello and the former director of operations at the family-owned Raleigh Hotel and at Kutsher's Country Club and Sports Academy, and retired from Blackman Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, died Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Hospice of Palm Beach County. He was 76 years of age.

        The son of the late Sam and Sylvia Blackman, he was born May 30, 1928, in Monticello.
        Mr. Blackman was a 50-year member and Past Master of Fallsburg Masonic Lodge #1122, Free and Accepted Masons. He was also a past Lieutenant with the Monticello Auxiliary Police and a past president of the Monticello Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He served as a corporal in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan.

        He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marilyn Blackman, at home; two sons, Steve Blackman and his wife, Joyce, of Monticello, and Neil Blackman of Rock Hill; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and David Kaufman of Monticello; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Connie Blackman of Monticello; two step-sisters, Joyce Katzman of Norwood, N.J., and Myrna Anderman of Mountaindale; a grandson, James McDonnell of Bloomingburg; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

        Masonic services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, followed by funeral services on Sunday. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate
