Citation:
Robert Garvey, author of ''Good Shabbos, Everybody!'' and other children's books on Jewish themes, died Wednesday at Metropolitan Hospital following a heart attack.
He was 74 years old.
Mr. Garvey, who retired in 1973 as promotional manager of the Union of Hebrew Congregations, served as executive secretary of the Jewish Book Publishers Association from 1972 to 1976. ''Good Shabbos, Everybody!'' which came out in 1951, was illustrated by Maurice Sendak.
Mr. Garvey is survived by his wife, Miriam, and two daughters, Ann and Ellen, of New York.
