From Zev Schonbrun: He started his Rabbinical career in America in 1898, as a rabbi in Scranton PA, and went on to Cleveland OH. In the 1920's he was the Rabbi of Bridgeport, CT, and moved back to Cleveland. He died in the 40's.

Schoenbrun: Emanuel Rabbi, of 11616 Buckeye rd., passed away Jan. 31, at the age of 83 years, beloved husband of Fannie, father of Phillip, Adolph, Mrs. Laura Rosenbluth, Miss Sadie Schoenbrun and Mrs. Pearl Gross, also 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday, Jan. 31, from the Knesseth Israel Temple, E. 105th and Columbia ave., at 3 p. m. Berkowitz & Sons were in charge of arrangements. Burial Lansing Ave. Cemetery. He was the first rabbi of the Knesseth Israel Temple.
