Event Note
The long article is about the criminal investigation of the maid who was serving her last day when she was seen alive and she tried to blame many other people. She was found 3 days after the murder because the owner of the house hadn't seen her and found it suspicious. It was a daughter of the owner who came to the police station on 19.2. She said that Berta was an old and not very healthy person and something could happen to her. Then she was found murdered with an axe, her injuries were deadly and there was a big disarray in her apartment (one room and a kitchen). They found out that she was murdered on the night 15.-16.2. Stolen watches of gold and some clothes were found and the son Oskar Frisch recognized his own trousers (this is only notice about Oskar). The serving maid was convicted together with her sister and one other man. Cause: Zertrümmerung des Schädels und Gehirmes (Mord) |

Narrative |
Bernard does not appear in the 1890 or 1900 Brno census. However, in the address books for Brno, we have found Bernard Frisch the Tapezierer on Fabrikgasse 13 between 1898 and 1901. Bertha is sometimes written as "Speise- A. -Inh." and in the list of "Speisehäuser", maybe she had something like a snack-bar? Sometimes she is on the same address - Fabrikgasse 13. In 1911 she is as 'Priv.' on Dornrösselgasse 7 and in 1916 on Körnergasse 15 and Oskar Frisch is as 'Fabrikbmt' on the same address. The same in the last address book from 1919.

Citation:
Everything seems to be clear here, her son Oscar is mentioned too. His address is the same in the address books but here it seems that she lived alone and she was found 3 days after the murder because the owner of the house haven't seen her and found it suspicious - Oscar even didn't come to visit her.
