Dentist, Dies at Home
Dr. John J. Peckelis, dentist, with offices at 449 Springfield Avenue, died Saturday in his home, 34 Stengel Avenue. Services were held Sunday at 3 P.M. at the home. Interment will be in the family plot in B'nai Abraham Cemetery.
Dr. Peckelis was born in New Haven, Conn. He came to this city 20 years ago. He was a member of Northern Lodge, F. and A.M.; Newark Dental Club, Ungarische, K.U.V; Y.M.H.A., Unity Athletic Club, Ezekel Lodge, B'nai Birth and Granite Lodge, Knights of Pythias.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lena Peckelis; two daughters, the Misses Kathryn and Estelle Peckelis, and three sisters, Mrs. Rose Dougherty, Mrs. Sophie Greenberg and Mrs. Liby Schoenberg. 11/22/1935 Jewish Chronicle (Newark, NJ).
