Narrative
From bobkaye.com:
Lenny Kaye had played saxophone and clarinet, professionally for 75 years. That's a lotta horn blowin'!
He played alto and clarinet in the Benny Goodman Orchestra as well as lead alto in the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. In the mid '40s my dad and uncle (Sid Kaye, former drummer and conductor for Danny Kaye for many years...no relation!), formed The Kaye Brother's Orchestra, a fixture at the old New York Palladium.
He performed with most of the great musicians and entertainers (i.e. Frank Sinatra - Danny Kaye) throughout his career. He had taught countless students how to play saxophone and clarinet over a span of some 60 years.
